Decades cum figuris noviter impresse

Venice: A Philippo Pincio Mantuano impressae, 27. IX. 1511

Folio: 28.8 x 20 cm. XX, CCLIII leaves. Collation: A8, a-b6, c-l8, m-n10, A-K8, L10, Aa-Ii8 (lacking final blank)

Bound in 17th c. vellum. Title printed in red. Beautifully illustrated with three intricate woodcut scenes within elaborate borders, and with 174 woodcuts in the text, some attributed to the Pico Master. A fine copy with minor faults: two small paper flaws on title, two leaves with side-notes slightly shaved, clean tear to one leaf (no loss), short worm-trail in gutter of final signature (not affecting the text.) Final leaf with woodcut printer's device of St. Anthony (Kristeller 266).
